Stellar Works is a Japanese-founded furniture brand with a global presence. Since 2025, TC & Friends has partnered with Stellar Works to rethink its brand strategy and refresh its visual identity and creative direction, providing a renewed focus and design ethos tailored for the global hospitality sector.

Our first collaboration with Stellar Works was in Copenhagen at 3daysofdesign 2025 for an immersive showcase called Omotenashi. The showcase displayed Stellar Work’s revitalised brand offering and featured a range of new and signature pieces that embody the Japanese concept of Omotenashi – the essence of sincere hospitality, thoughtful care and precision.

We’ve updated the brand’s visual identity and creative direction affirming its East-meets-West philosophy as well as its ongoing commitment to thoughtful design, lasting craftsmanship and the creation of harmonious spaces that inspire connection and reflection.

In March 2026, we travelled to Stellar Works factory in Shanghai to provide the art direction for their new campaign, with photography by Matthew Donaldson.

The central idea for the new campaign was horticulture – the art, science, and business of cultivating plants, fruits, vegetables, flowers, trees, shrubs, and ornamental plants for food, well-being, and beautification. The shoot focussed on life cycles, from seed through to flowers or fruit, and back to seed – as well as the tools that craft the plant throughout its life.
