VISUAL IDENTITY, WORDS

TC was asked to write a text and design a series of limited-edition posters for Coalescence, the new public artwork by Paul Cocksedge in partnership with Carpenters Workshop Gallery. Debuting at the Liverpool Cathedral, the sculpture was created using 3,000 pieces of anthracite, a lustrous form of coal extracted in the UK. The origin of the work was a moment of random curiosity some years ago when Paul pondered how much coal is needed to power a single 200w light bulb for one year. The result is a monumental, 6m diameter, illuminated black fossil chandelier-like sculpture.
